Trion Solutions maintains a dedicated Client/Employee Support page where users can select a department and submit a request with their name, email address, client/employer name and issue description.
That structure reflects how Trion actually operates: payroll, employee benefits, HR administration, workers’ compensation and other functions are related through the PEO relationship but are not one support problem.
The fastest route usually begins by identifying which function owns the issue.
[PUBLICATION NAME] is independent from Trion and cannot inspect employee accounts.
Start With the Employee Support Route for Account-Specific Problems
Trion’s current website prominently separates:
- Client/Employee Login;
- Client/Employee Support;
- general Quotes and Questions;
- FAQ;
- staffing contact resources.
That distinction is useful.
An employee with an existing account problem generally has a different request from a business considering Trion’s PEO services or a job candidate sending a resume.
Use the support channel matching your role.
Portal Access Problems
If the issue is simply:
“I cannot get into my Trion Employee Portal,”
start with the portal’s own account tools.
The current employee portal includes options for creating an account and recovering access. Older Trion documentation also references Forgot Username and Forgot Password functionality for employees.
If those tools fail, escalate the access issue rather than sending payroll documents unnecessarily.
Useful information might include:
- employer/client name;
- whether the account worked previously;
- whether registration has ever been completed;
- the general error shown.
Do not send your actual password.
Paystub or Payroll Questions
Trion’s payroll platform gives employees access to check stubs and payroll information, while its payroll service covers direct deposit, paycards, tax filing, deductions and W-2 processing.
If the portal works and the paystub is visible, identify what is wrong:
- hours;
- pay rate;
- deduction;
- direct deposit;
- tax withholding;
- missing payment.
This gives payroll support something specific to investigate.
“Portal doesn’t work” and “paycheck is incorrect” belong to different diagnostic paths.
W-2 Questions
Trion’s current FAQ says it issues W-2s to employees at client companies because Trion acts as the administrative employer for payroll purposes within those relationships. It also states that W-2s are mailed by January 31.
If your question is:
Why does the W-2 say Trion?
That is explained by the PEO/payroll structure.
Where is my W-2?
That is a tax-document delivery/access question.
The W-2 information is wrong.
That requires account-specific payroll/tax support.
The distinction matters.
Benefits Questions
Trion has a dedicated benefits-administration team and says that team handles enrollment, employee questions, benefit deductions, COBRA administration, ACA compliance support and 1095 reporting.
Benefits questions might therefore include:
- enrollment;
- eligibility;
- deductions;
- carrier information;
- COBRA;
- coverage changes.
A benefits question should not be sent as a payroll issue simply because the premium also appears as a payroll deduction.
If the enrollment is correct but the deduction is wrong, then both benefits and payroll may be relevant.
PTO and Timekeeping
Trion’s time-and-attendance interface supports work-hour tracking, schedules, PTO balances and time-off requests.
When requesting support, separate:
time record incorrect from
paycheck incorrect.
If the underlying timecard is wrong, payroll may simply be reflecting the approved data it received.
Our /trion-time-attendance/ page explains the full workflow.
FMLA and HR Questions
Trion lists FMLA management, employment verification, unemployment claims, employee records, hiring procedures and other HR functions among its PEO services.
Questions involving leave, employment documentation or employment-status administration are therefore better described as HR questions than as portal questions.
If sensitive medical information is involved, use only the authorized process provided by the employer or Trion.
Do not put medical documents into a general website contact form unless the official process specifically instructs you to do so.
Workplace Injury
Workers’ compensation deserves immediate routing to the proper process.
Trion says it manages claims from the first report of injury through return to work.
A worker who has suffered a workplace injury should follow the employer’s injury-reporting procedure rather than waiting for an ordinary portal-support response.
The workers’ compensation workflow can have time-sensitive reporting requirements.
New-Hire Support
New employees can experience problems before normal self-service is fully available.
Trion’s services include onboarding, I-9 tracking, payroll setup and new-hire reporting.
A new employee whose account cannot be created may need the employer to confirm that onboarding records were completed or transmitted correctly.
That is different from an established employee forgetting their password.
Applicant and Staffing Questions
Job candidates belong in another channel.
Trion Staffing currently accepts resumes through its staffing contact process and asks applicants to identify the kind of work and city they are seeking.
The main Trion contact page currently lists a separate Trion Staffing location and phone number as well.
Candidates should not use the employee payroll portal as a general job application system.
Current Trion Office Contacts
Trion’s public contact page currently lists:
Michigan office: Troy, Michigan — 248-498-8400
Arizona office: Scottsdale, Arizona — 480-542-5083
Trion Staffing: Troy, Michigan — 248-498-8516.
Because contact information can change, employees should verify it on Trion’s live site before relying on an old saved number.
What Information Helps Support?
A useful support request should explain the problem without oversharing sensitive data.
For example:
“I work for [client employer]. I can sign into the employee portal, but my most recent pay statement is missing.”
That immediately distinguishes the issue from:
“I forgot my password.”
or:
“I need help understanding benefits enrollment.”
Good routing can matter as much as technical troubleshooting.
What Not to Put in a General Support Message
Avoid sending sensitive information unless an authenticated official process specifically requires it.
In particular, do not casually include:
- passwords;
- full Social Security numbers;
- bank account numbers;
- routing numbers;
- complete W-2 documents;
- medical records;
- workers’ compensation medical documents;
- benefit-member IDs;
- copies of identity documents.
Trion’s support form asks for basic identifying/contact information and an issue description; it does not mean a user should paste every sensitive record associated with the issue.
A Simple Support Map
Cannot sign in
→ portal/account support.
Paycheck, direct deposit or W-2
→ payroll.
Insurance enrollment, COBRA or benefits deduction
→ benefits administration.
PTO balance or timecard
→ timekeeping/HR according to the employer’s setup.
FMLA, employee records or employment administration
→ HR.
Workplace injury
→ workers’ compensation process.
Looking for temporary or contract work
→ Trion Staffing.
The value of Trion’s PEO structure is that many HR services sit within one broader relationship. The challenge for employees is making sure the question reaches the right part of that relationship.
